Erratic movements of many celestial bodies through the system, solar likely influence the orbit and the axis of rotation of the planets. It was observed that some climate change coincided with changes in the Earth's magnetic field, but it is unclear why. It is possible that the sudden disappearance of entire species of animals (dinosaurs are the best known example) coincided with sudden changes of the geomagnetic field, which is now proven.
